Brief Biography of
Speaker
A native of Chattanooga,
Dr. Robertson was a varsity soccer player at
Lipscomb University in Nashville, graduating magna
cum laude with a degree in Chemistry. He attended
Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State
University followed by a residency and a chief
residency with the University of Tennessee Family
Physicians in Chattanooga. Dr. Robertson then
completed his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the
Alabama Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in
Birmingham under the tutelage of Drs. James Andrews,
Larry Lemak and Tracy Ray. While in fellowship, he
served as team physician for the University of West
Alabama, the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, and
the Birmingham Barons. He has also served on the
medical staff of the PGA Champions Tour Regions
Charity Classic, the Mercedes Marathon, and the
Southeastern Conference baseball and soccer
tournaments. Currently, he serves as team physician
for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and
the Chattanooga Lookouts. He is an active member of
the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and
the American College of Sports Medicine. He has
served on medical missions in Guatemala, Ecuador,
Honduras, and Mexico; and he enjoys golf, family and
church activities with his wife and two daughters.

Presentation
The presentation will
educate the audience on general medical conditions
occurring in athletes that are life threatening or
severely debilitating.
